April 3, 2007 Board Meeting Agenda Item #27 Title EXPULSION CASE NO. 07-280 Description On February 20, 2007, the student listed in Expulsion Case No. 07-280, violated School Board Policy 5.34, Assault and Battery on another student.  It is the recommendation of the Superintendent that the student be expelled from the Sarasota County Schools until February 20, of the 2007-2008 academic year. Recommendation That in accordance with provisions of Sections 1006.07(1)(a)(b), Florida Statutes and School Board Policy 5.34, and the holding of a hearing having been waived by the student/parent, the recommendation as specified in Expulsion Case No. 07-280, to expel the student referenced therein from the Sarasota County Schools be approved effective immediately for the remainder of the 2006-2007 academic year, the 2007 summer session, until February 20 of the 2007-2008 academic year.
